Barbara Spencer

With 30 years of experience in non-profit management at Educational & Developmental Initiatives in New Delhi, India, Barbara brought a wealth of knowledge to Embers when she joined in 2025. She holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a BA in Literature from the University of Virginia. Before her non-profit work, Barbara was a business writer, served in the Caribbean division of the Quaker Oats Company in Florida, and taught trigonometry part-time at Oakcrest School in Washington, DC. As Business Manager, she actively promotes parental involvement in their children’s education, particularly in matters of faith and virtue.

Notably, Barbara was among the first 33 students to attend Willows Academy when it opened. She enjoys exploring museums, reading historical novels, and creating her own greeting cards.
