Jeanne Dardis Henschell
Science Teacher
Jeanne brings a deep dedication to elementary education and character formation to her role at Embers. She earned a B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Dallas, holds certification for Grades K–8, and was recognized in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges (1999). Jeanne has shared her expertise at educator conferences in Irving, Texas, and Atlanta, Georgia, presenting on technology in the classroom and on differentiated learning styles. Her teaching career includes positions as a 3rd Grade teacher at Pinecrest Academy in Atlanta, GA; religious educator at St. Vincent Ferrer in River Forest, IL; and several positions at Holy Spirit Preparatory School in Atlanta, including 2nd Grade teacher, Theology teacher, department co-chair, and campus ministry. Jeanne joined Embers in 2020 and continues to cultivate a love of learning in her students, especially enjoying those “a-ha” moments when understanding suddenly clicks. She loves that Embers provides the opportunity to greet students each day, accompany them in their growth, and encourage them to challenge themselves to do their best every day.
Outside the classroom, Jeanne enjoys playing tennis, paddleboarding, and spending time with her husband and four children, especially around a good board game!
