Mrs. Mary Grace Doerr
2nd Grade
Mary Grace Doerr graduated from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana with a degree in Elementary Education and minors in Reading and Mild Intervention. She holds a Professional Educator License (PEL) for grades 1–6, is a licensed learning specialist, and is currently working towards her Master’s in Reading Specialty. During her student teaching in the South Bend public school system, she gained valuable experience in both special education and first-grade instruction. Mary Grace joined Embers Academy in 2021, inspired by how deeply the faculty care about each student’s growth and formation. She emphasizes this same caring nature in her own classroom, helping each student learn how to be respectful and responsible.
A passionate Cubs fan, Mary Grace enjoys spending her summers at the ballpark or walking along the lakefront with her husband. She also has a special devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe.
