Julie Galluzzi
1st Grade Long-Term Substitute
Julie joined Embers in the Fall of 2024 as a long-term maternity substitute. She has a rich background in education, having received her Bachelors in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois and her Masters in Teaching and Leadership from St. Xavier University. Julie brings with her 12 years of teaching experience in District #100 in South Berwyn, IL, and a National Board Certification in Reading. As a mom of five, all of whom are current Embers students or graduates, it is Embers’ mission – and the fulfillment of that mission each day – which speaks to her and her husband.
Julie enjoys making homemade pizza and cookies with her kids, watching her children play hockey, and learning how to crochet. Her family’s home parishes are Our Lady of Ransom and St. Paul of the Cross.
