Family Christmas Eve Mass

at St. Mary of the Angels

Northridge, Willows and Embers are joining St. Mary of the Angels school in their Christmas Eve Family Mass. Please join us for:

  • Lessons in Carols at 4:30 p.m. Scripture passages with Christmas Carols sung. Confessions also available at this time.
  • Mass at 5:00 p.m.
  • Embers Fire Choir joins SMA Children’s Choir

     

Embers Annual Fund 2021

A big thank you to all of our families who have contributed to the Annual Fund! Our goal for the Annual Fund is 100% participation by all our families. Every gift, regardless of size, makes a difference!  High participation is a vote of confidence, an important sign that our parents, alumni, faculty, and friends invest in our children and support the school’s mission.  If you have not given yet, there’s still time!

Join us for our Embers Extravaganza!  Bring your whole family for our annual fundraiser to help continue to Spark the Future!  

Plan for an afternoon of good food, fellowship with friends—old and new, amazing auction items, and superb entertainment from our very own Embers Fire Choir and Band. Please note the date change and be on the lookout for more details soon!

Happenings Around the School

All-School rosary for the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Fr. Leo blessed Embers’ nativity scene and 2nd grade students placed Baby Jesus in His manger. The students’ charitable works all contributed to the soft bed of hay on which Baby Jesus can now lay His sweet head! 

Christmas Concert

A BIG thanks to Mr. Sadlowski for putting together an outstanding Christmas concert!  It was an evening to remember! 

Basketball

Embers’ 5th Grade Boys Basketball team, shown here with one of their coaches, Mr. Paschall, had a great season filled with victories, losses, and lots of good lessons on teamwork, friendship, and basketball!

Moms’ Club

Merry Christmas from the Moms’ Club! 

We look forward to seeing many Embers moms at our next get-together on January 31st, 2021 for a talk on “Catechesis of the Good Shepherd: Bringing Our Children up in the Faith.”

Please save the date, April 25, 2022, for our final Moms’ Club of the year.  This will be a book club discussing Fr. Rocky’s book “Marriage Insurance” and a formal dinner.

Chess Club

Chess Scholars provides fun and competitive chess instruction as an Embers after school activity for Kindergarten thru 5th grades. Detailed information and registration can be found below. 

  • Dates: Tuesdays, January 11 – March 15
  • Time: 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.

Register by January 3rd for the Early Bird Price of $145.
