She completed her law degree at the Universidad Juarez del Estado de Durango in her home country of Mexico before making the life-changing decision to move to the United States. She embraced the role of educator, specializing in teaching 3rd to 5th grade Spanish classes, where she fosters the appreciation for Spanish language and culture. In 2016, Brenda expanded her role within Embers, serving as a Preschool Aide and Co-teacher. She has nurtured a profound connection to the school’s mission and values and credits working with her students as one of her major inspirations!
Outside the classroom, Brenda is a mother of three children, all current or graduated Embers Sparks. She enjoys spending time with her large extended family, and working on art projects, including crafts and sewing. Her family are members of Ss. Peter and Lambert Roman Catholic Church in Skokie.
