Kristine del Rosario
Kindergarten Teacher
Having worked at several schools, it was Embers’ mission of faith, knowledge, and virtue that spoke to Kristine from day one. Kristine graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education with a concentration in Math from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, followed by a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University. She is SLANT (Structured Language Training) certified since 2017 and is currently completing her instruction to become an Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW) registered instructor. Kristine worked as a 6th grade teacher at Peterson Elementary School and a Preschool & Kindergarten teacher at Francis Xavier Warde School before joining Embers in 2018. She feels passionately about helping students reach their full potential by being in community with others and encourages her students to seek the good, the true, and the beautiful.
Kristine enjoys staying active, through Zumba, basketball, football, and tennis. She is currently rediscovering the classics while reading through Beatrix Potter, Laura Ingall Wilder, and E.B. White with her three children, all of whom are Embers Sparks.
