As of February 1, our Re-Enrollment Period is live. We are excited to welcome back all our families for the 2024-25 school year!

During the Re-Enrollment Period, contracts are available via your myEmbers! portal with a reduced, $300/student deposit. The re-enrollment deposit will increase to the standard $500/student amount on Friday, February 16. For more information, please refer to the re-enrollment timeline HERE.

How to Re-Enroll via myEmbers!:

2. You will see a yellow banner at the top. Click the banner.

3. Click the ‘Review’ button located at the right hand side of the screen:

5. Once you review the information, please click “Next”.
6. You will initial and sign releases and the Embers Parent Handbook, set up your payment plan, and pay the tuition deposit.

Extravaganza Filming Ahead!

On Friday, February 9th and Monday, February 12th, a professional film crew will be on-site to create the 2024 Extravaganza videos. We want our Sparks to shine during filming, and request your help in putting their best foot forward with:

  • Red sweaters/vests
  • Tights instead of leggings for girls at all grade levels, or dress code approved socks
  • Girl’s hair preferred worn down or half up / half down

In addition, we will have one logistical change: on Monday, February 12th, students who are attending afternoon EDP will need to be picked up at the North Breezeway door.

The 2024 videos will have a world premiere at the Extravaganza on Saturday, March 23! Save the date; event tickets will be available mid-February.

Third Grade Wins the Duel!

Congratulations to 3rd Grade for winning Ted’s Diaper Drive’s Diaper Duel after bringing in 2,666 diapers! Our entire student body brought in an amazing total of nearly 8,000 diapers which will be donated to families in need. Thank you to all our Spark families who so generously supported this drive!

Embers is Going Red for Rosewood
Tuesday, February 13

On Tuesday, February 13, Embers is sponsoring a red out of uniform day to support the Rosewood Foundation. The Rosewood Foundation seeks to provide students in need of additional learning support the opportunity to receive a Catholic education at Catholic schools throughout Chicagoland.

Embers students are asked to contribute $1 (or more, if they like!) to wear red on Tuesday, February 13.  Thank you for your support!

Embers’ Budding Artists

Our new Art Club program has been a hit this winter with students in K-3rd flexing their artistic muscles. This past week, our artists participated in a vase exercise where they created the mirror images of a face. The resulting image revealed a vase!

Terra Novas: March 4-8

Terra Nova testing for 3rd-5th grade students will be held March 4-7, with a makeup day on March 8.  Parents, please plan ahead to help your students shine! We ask that you do NOT schedule vacations or appointments during this week. Thank you!

Welcome, Baby Cecilia!

We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to Cecilia Caeli Black! Cecilia is grandbaby #10 for 3rd Grade teacher, Mrs. Black, and the daughter of Robert and Lydia. Born prematurely, Cecilia spent two months in the NICO, but is doing wonderfully and is finally at home with her 7 siblings!
