Dear Families,
Our Development and Marketing teams have been working hard alongside very devoted and generous parent volunteers to make this year’s Extravaganza bigger and better than ever!
Next Saturday’s Fund-a-Need Paddle Raise will boost funds for the next round of enhancements, including a new school library. We’ll also be looking to make aesthetic improvements to neglected corners of the school building, add support for our Embers Parents Association, and aid new marketing endeavors to help us spread the word about our community to new families. Your support will also help us close the deficit brought on by increasing operations and facilities costs.
But what I’m most excited about is the next big project to take the life of our school to the next level: the library. I’ve heard from many of you the challenges of filtering out the noise and ugliness often found in public libraries, as well as the difficulty of knowing where to even begin in buying books for your children. My wife and I have had the same struggles.
The Embers library will feature a curated collection of books that reflect our shared values and inspire our Sparks to new heights, to seek greatness in a world that desperately needs it. To make such a library a reality, we need all hands on deck.
I can’t wait to tell you more during my keynote next Saturday. Over 230 guests–and counting–are already registered, with 15 hours left to buy tickets. Even if you’re unable to attend, you can support these efforts by donating online.
See you in Monte Carlo!
Sincerely,
Christopher Goffos
Headmaster
