“The most important person on earth is a mother. She cannot claim the honor of having built Notre Dame Cathedral. She need not. She has built something more magnificent than any cathedral—a dwelling for an immortal soul. . . . What on God’s good earth is more glorious than this: to be a mother?”
– Cardinal József Mindszenty (1892-1975)

Seussical a Smashing Success
Our Fire Choir whisked us away to a wonderful world of imagination during their in-concert presentation of Seussical, Jr. on Friday… And what a magical journey it was! We loved getting to meet Horton and his cast of friends who discover the true meaning of friendship.

Congratulations to our talented vocalists for a fantastic performance, and thank you to all who helped make this concert a reality. Mr Sadlowski, you’ve done it again; bravo!!

5th Grade Wax Museum
Friday, May 19 | 9:30-11:30 a.m. | Paluch Hall
Next up on our Fantastic Fridays calendar is the 5th Grade Wax Museum! Our Sparks have done extensive research while preparing their act, and have chosen to portray historical, virtuous role models who have made a positive impact in the world.

Our students will amaze you as they suddenly spring to life to talk about “themselves” and answer your many questions. Don’t miss this wonderful presentation!

Extravaganza ’23 Survey

It’s hard to believe that preparations for next year’s Extravaganza are already underway. As we begin our planning, we would love to hear feedback from you on a brief 5-10 question survey that is completely anonymous.

This survey is for everyone; regardless if you attended the event or sold a raffle ticket.

Its is our goal to create a fabulous event that our families can look forward to all year long. Your feedback is critical in making that happen. Thank you for your time!

May’s Virtue:

We are encouraging our Sparks to lend a hand and think of ways they can be responsible at home, at school, and in their relationship with God. On Wednesday, our students received a worksheet to keep at home while they practice responsibility every day.

Neighborhood Food Drive a Success!
Thank you all who brought in paper bags for our annual food drive. Kindergarten and 5th Grade students distributed the bags throughout our neighborhood earlier this month, and we were blessed with an abundance of generosity! We even received words of gratitude from the community. It was a great success and so fun to see the pantry fill up with donations.

Our all-school pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe is less than three weeks away! We look forward to sharing this moment with you and our entire Embers community!

IMPORTANT NOTE:
The school building will be CLOSED until 9:45 a.m. so that all faculty and staff can attend the pilgrimage.

Welcome Baby Carter!

We are delighted to introduce Marie Louise Carter, the newest addition to the previously all male brood of Sam and Patsy Carter, including big brother Pierce in PK4. Congratulations to the entire Carter family!!
