Bishop Bartosic Mass: May 29
On Wednesday, May 29, Bishop Mark Bartosic, Auxiliary Bishop of Chicago, will be visiting to preside over our all-school Mass at 8:45 a.m. We welcome all families to join us!

Dear Families,

As our students wrap up an awesome year at Embers, we’re already busy making plans for the 2024-2025 school year. Many parents have expressed a desire to see more extracurricular opportunities for their children. Though we have a robust after school music program, several sports teams, and this year’s new art club, there is certainly room for growth!

If you have an idea for a new club at Embers, I’d love to hear from you. Do you have a talent for the arts you’d like to share with our Sparks? Is there a hobby, like gardening or woodworking, you’d like to try your hand at teaching? Are you skilled at chess or other games of strategy? Do you excel in a team or individual sport and want to pioneer that new offering for us?

Learning goes beyond the classroom, and extracurricular activities are a great way for students to explore their talents beyond reading, writing, and arithmetic. They’re a place to further develop the virtues of courage, responsibility, and determination, not to mention build friendships with other students who have the same interests.

If you have an idea for a club you might like to lead next year, I encourage you to fill out this proposal form so that we can start a conversation about next year. I’m excited to see ideas for how our Sparks can continue to grow in joy and virtue!

Sincerely,
Christopher Goffos
Headmaster
