2021-2022 Year of the Family!
Under the patronage of St. Joseph, Pillar of Families

Welcome to Mr. Boville!

Mr. Pablo Boville, Embers’ new 5th Grade teacher, has finally arrived from Spain and his students are so excited to have him in person! Mr. Boville joins our Embers family from Zaragoza, Spain. After teaching at Montearagón School for the last 13 years, he brings his vast experience to Embers and his 5th Grade Ants — Ants because “they work together, little by little and day-by-day, without giving up no matter what problems or issues they face.” Please give Mr. Boville a warm Embers welcome if you see him around campus!

Annual Fund
The Year of the Family

Like any family, we celebrate the moments of growth and development of each one of our Sparks as we seek to nurture every child into someone beautiful. Each new day is an opportunity to fulfill our mission to support our families in forming your children in God’s truth.

We ask that your family unite with Embers in continuing the efforts to “Spark a Future”. Together we will form the next generation to become responsible adults who are firm in faith, filled with hope and are capable of making a real and lasting difference in the world.

We hope you received your Annual Fund Letter. Please consider contributing to the Embers Academy Annual Fund. To donate online, click here.

All-School Family Rosary: Rescheduled to Monday, October 18th

Due to rain and very wet conditions, we have rescheduled the Family Rosary to Monday, October 18th at 8:30 a.m.  Please drop off your students following normal drop-off procedures. We then invite you to please park in the lot and join us on the lawn! Students will be led out by their teachers and sit with their grade.

Basketball Season has begun! The 4th and 5th grade girls had their first game on Thursday at St. Mary of the Woods. Go Sparks!

Virtue Service Project

Please help the First Grade build birthday boxes for children who are less fortunate.  Each grade is asked to bring in a specific item.  See flyer for details.
NOTE: The deadline has been extended to Friday, October 22.

Are You a Saint?

Your Spark can be a saint on November 1! This time of year invites us to reflect on the lives of the saints and those souls who await heaven.

Halloween (Hallow’s Eve), All Saints Day and All Souls Day

  • Friday, October 29: Orange and Black Day
Out of uniform day – everyone is asked to dress in orange and black (pumpkin faces, etc. on shirts are acceptable). Class parties held in the afternoon. No costumes.

  • Monday, November 1: Holy Day of Obligation: All Saints Day
Embers’ All-School Mass will be celebrated on this day to acknowledge this beautiful feast day. Students are encouraged to ‘be a saint’! Students may include with their uniform something that symbolizes a saint they would like to represent that day. Any clothing item must be worn over uniforms — it is not an out-of-uniform day.

  • Tuesday, November 2: All Souls Day
Students may bring in a picture of someone they know that has passed away in the last year. The repose of their souls will be prayed for during the month of November. All Souls Day is a solemn celebration in the Roman Catholic Church to show respect to all of those who have died and are now in Purgatory, being made pure before entering into the presence of God in Heaven. The Holy Souls in Purgatory cannot pray for themselves, but we can pray for them to help them reach heaven sooner.

Trunk or Treat

Embers Annual Trunk or Treat is coming October 24th from 2 – 4 pm!  Families, get your costumes on, come with your cars decorated (optional), bring candy for the kids to ‘Trick or Treat’ from your trunk!  Check your email for a Punchbowl invitation and be sure to RSVP!  The event includes a 50/50 Raffle which will benefit the Teacher Appreciation Week Fund, prizes for best decorated car! School building access not available.
