Gently Used Uniform Sale
Tuesday, Aug. 12 & Wednesday, Aug. 13
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
We are excited to host our annual back-to-school Uniform Sale next month. The donated inventory (thank you, parents!!) has been sorted and there is a nice selection of quality second-hand sweaters, skirts, jumpers, and dress pants for your students. Additionally, our Used Uniform Sale will include a few new items! Embers’ remaining inventory from Dennis Uniform – mostly polos – was purchased by the school and will be included in the sale.
Families are asked to donate what they are able for the items they select. Only cash and checks will be accepted. The complete list of dress code requirements can be found on the Resources Page of our website.

Lands’ End Summer Uniform Sale
Uniforms are also available for purchase through the Lands’ End uniform store, using Preferred School Number 900205451. Starting today, Lands’ End is holding their annual savings event with discounts throughout the summer. Families are encouraged to order uniforms by August 15th to ensure they arrive in time for the first day of school.

Summer Scoop Reminders
We’re half-way through the summer! Here are a few reminders about our summer learning & logistics:
- Required Reading: All students in K-5th Grade have one required book to read this summer. Click HERE for more information about your student’s required book.
- Required Medical Forms: By the first day of school, forms are required for incoming students who will be starting their First year of PreK, Kindergarten, and 2nd Grade. The most updated information for required Medical Forms can be found on the Resources Page of our website.
- Supply Lists: Supply lists for all grades are available in the full Summer Scoop email which can be found HERE.

Farewell with our Deepest Gratitude!
Earlier this summer, we were saddened to hear that Fr. Leo has been reassigned from Chicago to Los Angeles and will be moving at the end of the summer. While this news came as a surprise, the reassignment is part of a larger, positive shift within Opus Dei, prompted by the vicar’s unexpected move to Rome, which caused a broader reshuffling of priest assignments across several cities. We trust Opus Dei’s decisions regarding assignments and look forward to welcoming a new priest later this summer.
Fr. Leo has been an integral part of our school and community, and we are deeply grateful for his presence. Notes and farewells can be sent to Fr. Leo at frleo@northridgeprep.org, which will remain active for several months. Please join us in wishing him all the best on his new assignment!

Fall Sport Sign-Ups Now Available!
Soccer Team
Embers’ fall Soccer Team is open to incoming 4th & 5th Grade students with a maximum of of 18 participants. Practices and games will begin before the start of school and run through October. Cross Country Team
Cross Country is open to incoming 3rd- 5th Grade students. Practices will begin before the start of school and with meets in September. Annual Dads Club Workday!

Michael Gray, who admirably leads Embers’ Dads Club, has once again organized a Dads Club Workday at Embers on the morning of Saturday, August 16. Michael is looking for dads willing to assist with various projects around the school, such as painting, wall hanging, and the like. Whether you’re a novice willing to help or a highly skilled professional, we could use your hands and muscle. (And there will be lots of food and fellowship, too!)
