Volunteer Opportunities

Embers parent volunteers offer a huge resource and support base for our school.
Help us create a community that is warm and inviting! 

The Embers Parent Association Hospitality Committee is looking for volunteers to help welcome parents to the school and manage refreshments at a table by the Visitor entrance during Parent Teacher conferences. 

Volunteers can sign up for a spot before or after their scheduled conference. Refreshments will be set up and taken down by Hospitality Coordinators, Kate DeCanto and Kelly Beck.

Dads Discuss the Faith

Calling all Embers Dads!
Join us Tuesday evenings from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. for an evening of discussion.

Where: Northridge Prep, 8320 Ballard Rd., Niles, IL

Refreshments will be offered 30 minutes before each session.  Topics presented by Dr. Stephen Smith, Hillsdale College and Dr. Warren Diem, Northridge Prep.

Upcoming topics include:

• Nov 16 – St. Thomas More on Education
• Nov 23 – Parents’ Role in Formation of Children

Moms Transmit the Faith
Back in Person!

We are offering Moms Transmit the Faith classes again this year! Moms are invited to a monthly class to learn the doctrine of our Catholic faith along with practical tips to use within the family. Class dates are scheduled for the second Friday of each month beginning in December. Babysitting will be provided.

Please join us for our first get-together at the ‘Open House’ to hear about a fresh approach to pass on our Faith to our children!

•  Time: 8:30-10 am (Arrival 8:30-9:00; Short presentation at 9 am)

Moms’ Club has partnered with Art of Living for Women (www.artoflivingforwomen.org) to present seminars, hands-on projects and demonstrations to help us all as mothers, wives, friends, chefs, home designers and Chief Operations Officers of our homes.
