February 11 was Fr. Leo’s birthday! Students presented Fr. Leo with a “spiritual bouquet” consisting of prayers offered on his behalf from every Spark, faculty and staff member. 5th Grade sang Happy Birthday to him at the end of our School Mass. Fr. Leo is one of our favorite visitors, and we are so thankful for his spiritual guidance and enlightenment! Thank you to Mrs. Hastings for arranging our prayers so beautifully!

On Monday, February 15, all current Embers families will receive a 2021-2022 Re-Enrollment Contract via myEmbers! Portal that every family (at least one parent) should have previously established. New families will begin enrolling on Saturday, March 20. For more information, please click HERE.

Fr. Leo will be out of town next week, and will be unable to join us on Ash Wednesday.  We are grateful to Fr. Emmanuel from St. Juliana’s parish for being our guest at Embers next week.  Fr. Emmanuel will celebrate Mass on Ash Wednesday and bless the ashes for all to receive!

“Pilgrimage of Faith” is an extensive 40-day virtual Lenten pilgrimage through the Holy Land. The program begins on Ash Wednesday (February 17) and will culminate in an Easter Sunday reflection on the journey.

All students in Grades PK – 5th were invited to ponder what makes Embers a special school and submit a drawing or written composition expressing their ideas. All of the students contributed such beautiful work, but there are a few who stood out from each grade level:

Willows Academy will once again be hosting a Mardi Gras celebration, (with health and safety protocols in place), for children! It is a tradition for many Sparks to attend.  If you will be picking your Spark up early from school this Tuesday to attend Mardi Gras, please let your child’s teacher know by Tuesday at 9 am.

Delta Father-Son Club

The Delta Father-Son Club is open to fathers and their sons in 4th through 6th grade.  The goal of Delta Club is to help you raise your sons as men of character.  The next meeting will be February 21.  Click here for more information.
