No More Temp Checks!

The CDC is no longer requiring temperature checks each day for admittance to school.  We have ended this practice at our morning drop-off, but are asking all of our families to be prudent and cautious in evaluating your child’s health each morning before you bring them to school.  If your child has any sort of symptom, please keep them home until they are feeling better or have seen a doctor.  If your child displays symptoms at school or appears unwell, we will call and ask you to pick them up.  Thank you for your cooperation in maintaining good health and safety in our school community!

Virtue Assembly

Mrs. Nelson’s Fourth Grade Class presented the virtues of Gentleness and Humility at our outdoor Virtue Assembly yesterday.

Read-a-thon Success!

The Read-A-Thon was a great success! We raised $6,729 which will go towards reading and  literacy enhancements for all students at Embers.  We will let everyone know when decisions are made regarding this initiative.  Thank you for your deep generosity in supporting your children’s learning at Embers!

Are you working from home and need a break in your day?  Come on over to Embers and volunteer as a recess monitor!  Come one day a week or everyday, between 11:15 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Year of St. Joseph

The following are brief explanations of the titles of St. Joseph recited in the Litany to St. Joseph.

Head of the Holy Family  – As head of the Holy Family, St. Joseph protected and cared for Mary and Jesus. He would have taught Jesus the Jewish faith and led the family prayers, for instance, the prayer before meals.

Joseph, Chaste and Just – St. Joseph loved Mary with a pure love and freely chose to respect her.  As a just man, he put his duty to God before all else and cared for his family as God would care for them.
