Easter Break begins Thursday

Embers will be closed for Easter & Spring Break starting this Thursday, March 28 through Friday, April 5. We wish all of our families a safe, joyful, and holy break!

Fun Times All Week Long
This week our Sparks were on fire as they celebrated school spirit! Between themed dress-up days and special events, every day was an adventure!

Kindergarten had some crazy hair…

2nd Grade dreamed of their future careers…

3rd Grade tried to find their teacher on the “Guess Who” wall

1st Grade was full of future teachers, bakers, athletes, and more…

PreK had silly socks on tiny toes…

5th Grade took a trip through the decades…

4th Grade has big plans for their future selves…

5th (& 4th) ventured downtown to the Shedd Aquarium…

Kindergarten participated in a Living Last Supper during Atrium…

And 3rd and 4th Grade helped pack lunches for Uncle Pete’s Ministry!

Embers Extravaganza ’24

There are still a few hours left to participate in the Extravaganza Basket Raffle! Do you love concerts? Sports? Jewelry? Gardening? Relaxing? Our baskets have something for everyone!

Book Fair Begins After Break
We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Ignatius Book Fairs for our spring fair! Ignatius Book Fairs invites students to explore more than a thousand Christian and secular works that feed their imaginations and nourish their minds. They aim to foster a love of reading and ensure that children can access literature that aligns with Christian values. Parents are welcome to join us for shopping during any of our fair hours. Save these book fair dates!

  • Wednesday, April 10: Book Fair, 11:30-4:30 p.m. | Front Lobby

Literacy Month Ahead
April is Literacy Month at Embers! We have a number of exciting events planned, as we celebrate all month long:
  • Book Fair: Tuesday April 10 – Friday, April 12. More info above.
  • DEAR = “Drop Everything and Read”: Teachers will be providing time slots all month for students to DEAR! Please make sure your students have a quality book to read that is appropriate for their reading levels.
  • Guest Readers: Teachers will be organizing Guest Readers all month long.
  • Literacy Week April 29- May 3: Full of creativity and fun. More info to come.

Bowling RSVPs due Wednesday!
Reservations for the 2024 EPA Mother-Son Bowling Outing are due this Wednesday, April 27. You can quickly register by clicking HERE. We look forward to seeing you!

Simple Machines
In Science, the 4th graders experimented with gravitational forces to build simple machines. They then added onto them to build chain reaction machines. Their results are quite impressive!

Soccer Club Registration due Friday, April 5
Registration is currently open for our spring Soccer Club. Practices will be divided into two groups: K-2 Grade, coached by Cathy Mullen, and 3-5 Grade, coached by Nawaf Habib. More information about the program can be found HERE.
