  • D.E.A.R. = Drop Everything and Read
Students will have impromptu reading time all week. Please make sure your students have a quality book that is appropriate for their reading level.

  • Bookmark Contest
All Sparks are invited to participate in the annual Bookmark Contest. One winner will be selected per grade and each student will receive a bookmark with their grade’s winning design.

  • “Pumpkin Pages” Reading Log
Students will receive a “Pumpkin Tracker” full of fun ideas for reading at home. All Sparks who turn in a completed reading log will receive a fun treat.

  • New! Pumpkin Decorating Contest (Optional)
Families are invited to decorate a pumpkin to look like their favorite book character. All Sparks will vote on their favorite pumpkin and the family with the winning design will win a prize!

Join Northridge teacher Russell Fernandes and Embers dad Jince Lukose for an interactive discussion on how to confidently navigate this next stage of parenting.
