A reminder to keep reading throughout the month of April.

Any student who reads a minimum of 400 minutes in the time period of April 1 – 22 will participate in a surprise celebration with the Literacy Team!

The Read-A-Thon logs are due Friday, April 22.

Literacy Week
April 25-29

Dress as your favorite Narnia character!

Have your Spark dress up as their favorite Narnia Book Character on Friday, April 29! All students may wear or bring an item that represents a character from the Narnia book that their grade is enjoying!

Full costumes are not required. Any item brought or worn should follow guidelines set in the Parent Handbook.

Usborne Book Fair
April 27-28

Come to the Book Fair and browse the beautiful Usborne books!

Teachers’ wish lists will be available. Please consider purchasing a book to build up the classroom libraries.

Parents and families are welcome to visit the Book Fair at Embers during the following times:

Wednesday, April 27th
from 11:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Thursday, April 28th
from 11:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Dads Discuss the Faith

Calling all Embers Dads!

Join us for an evening of engaging discussion.

When: 6:00 – 7:00 pm
Where: Northridge Prep, 8230 Ballard Rd., Niles, IL
Upcoming Topic: Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist

Service Project for Compassion

Several Fourth Graders and their moms met at the Fisher House last Saturday to make and serve breakfast to the veterans, their families, and the staff. They had lots of fun making a big breakfast and putting together a basketful of yummy Easter treats for the veterans!
