This Friday evening, the wonderful world of Dr. Seuss is coming to Embers Academy! Embers Fire Choir will be bringing to life the story of Horton the Elephant during a one-hour vocal performance. We hope you will join us for this heartwarming story of friendship and loyalty.

May Crowning
On Wednesday, our Sparks celebrated a beautiful May Crowning Mass. Following 2nd Grade’s procession of flowers and prayers, Mary was crowned by 5th Graders Mary Nomellini and Billy Svanascini.

May’s Virtue: Responsibility

Our 5th Grade class hosted Friday’s assembly on Responsibility, our May virtue. They gave a fabulous presentation explaining how we can be responsible at home, at school, and with God.

Teacher Appreciation Week
The Embers Parents Association hosted a wonderful week for our Teachers and Staff, featuring daily tasty treats and fun surprises. Thank you to our parents who volunteered and participated all week long to make this celebration a success!

Letters of appreciation were shared with our faulty throughout the week.

All School Pilgrimage: Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe
Thursday, June 1 at 8:30 a.m. | 1170 N River Rd, Des Plaines
Parents, Sparks, and siblings are invited to come together as our Embers family prays the rosary in gratitude for the completion of this school year! Each family is responsible for your students’ transportation to Embers when the pilgrimage concludes.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The school building will be CLOSED until 9:45 a.m. so that all faculty and staff can attend the pilgrimage. If you choose not to join us at the Shrine, please bring your child directly to school at 9:45. All students must arrive by 10:00 a.m. for instruction.
