Embers’ first Back-to-School Fair will be this Thursday, September 1 during Parent/Teacher Conferences! Some of the informational booths include:

• Gently Used Uniforms Sale

Our Usborne Books representative will also be at the Fair, with a full stock of new books for purchase.  Help your children start off the school year with a focus on literacy by selecting some high-quality books and stories for them to read at home and at school.  You can also select books to donate to our classroom libraries!

Teacher Assignments
As a reminder, you can view your student’s teacher, by logging into myEmbers! Your child’s homeroom teacher will be listed as “Advisor” on the student’s page. Please refer last week’s Spark newsletter for more information.

Please review the Parent Handbook located on Embers’ website for details on uniform requirements.  Don’t forget your red Embers Spirit Shirts to be worn (with casual bottoms!) throughout the year on designated All-School Spirit Days.

Uniforms & Spirit Shirts can be purchased through Dennis Uniform using School Code G24GV.

Marla’s Brown Bag Lunch:
Embers Hot Lunch Program will again be provided by Marla’s Brown Bag Lunch program. Marla’s partners with local vendors to provide fresh and delicious lunches that kids love to eat!  

Milk Program:
Milk delivery will begin Monday, September 12th. To order milk for your child(ren), please complete the form below and return to School Office. For additional information, please see the Milk Form.

The Extended Day Program beings the first full day of school and is open to all students Preschool – 5th Grade. If you have any questions, please contact Sylvia Casaletto at scasaletto@embersacademy.org.

Before School Care – 7:30 a.m. – 7:55 a.m
After School Care – 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m

Embers Back-to-School Ice Cream Social

Sunday, September 11 (2:00 – 4:00 p.m.)

Join us to celebrate the start of a new school year! Popsicles and ice cream sandwiches are on us! Punchbowl invitation to follow.

We hope you’ll consider being a Sparks lunch monitor so that our wonderful teachers can enjoy lunch together… in the new faculty lounge! Any assistance would be greatly appreciated (and your kids will love seeing you, too!)

Our beautiful new entry way is ready to accept students! We have updated our drop-off and pickup procedures to utilize this space. Please take note of the following changes:

For All Drop Offs and Pickups*
Traffic will enter as usual and merge in the North Lot. Cars will then proceed to the new Drop-off / Pickup Zone in the front circle.

Full-day Preschool Pickups

Full-day preschool families will continue to park in the Church lot and walk to the West Porch to collect their students. When exiting, please use the Normal Ave. driveway.

(If your PK Full-day student has siblings in K-5th grades, they will dismiss together at the front circle through the new procedure detailed above.)

Due to construction and facility maintenance, Embers school office will be closed through August 31.

Phone messages and emails will be monitored daily.
