Classroom Assignment and Parent Teacher Conference Sign-up

Classroom Assignment
To view your student’s teacher, log into myEmbers.  

In the upper left hand corner of the screen, click the drop down arrow and select your child.
Your child’s homeroom teacher will be listed as “Advisor.”

Parent-Teacher Conferences 
Thursday, September 1 (9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.)

Important School Forms 

Birth and Baptismal Certificates
Please be sure your student has a Birth Certificate on file, as well as a Baptismal Certificate, if applicable. Submit copies of these documents to the Embers School Office.

Medical Forms

  • Medical (Required for K and new students in all grades.)

  • Dental (Required for K and 2nd Grade students.)

  • Vision (Required for K and new students to IL)

Food Allergy Form
If your child has a food allergy, it is required that you please fill out and return the Illinois Food Allergy Form and provide the school office and your classroom teacher any necessary medication your student needs (including Benadryl or EpiPens).

Please note:

  • We require at least (2) two separate medication dispensers, i.e., EpiPens, inhalers, etc., to be kept at school: one for the school office, and one in your child’s classroom. 
  • If your child will be frequently attending the Extended Day Program (EDP), we strongly suggest that you provide a third dispenser to be kept in EDP.

2022 Cross Country Registration
Grades 3 – 5

Embers students will compete in three City Suburban Catholic Conference (CSCC) meets in September! For more details on practice/meet dates and to register your student, see below.

Hot Lunch and Milk Program

Embers Hot Lunch Program will again be provided by Marla’s Brown Bag Lunch program. Marla’s partners with local vendors to provide fresh and delicious lunches that kids love to eat!

Important Dates

First Day of School
Tuesday, September 6

The first day of school is a half-day with early dismissal beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Welcome Coffee 
Tuesday, September 6 (8:15 – 11:30 a.m.)

ALL PARENTS are invited for a Welcome Coffee immediately after drop-off until 11:30 a.m. on the first day of school. Please join us in the field across from the Breezeway Entrance.

Embers Back-to-School Ice Cream Social
Sunday, September 11 (2:00 – 4:00 p.m.)

Join us to celebrate the start of a new school year! Popsicles and ice cream sandwiches are on us! Punchbowl invitation to follow.

New Fun Volunteer Opportunity!

We’d love to offer parents a new volunteer opportunity to monitor our Sparks’ lunch periods so that our wonderful teachers can enjoy their lunch together in the new faculty lounge!

Required Summer Reading

All students entering Kindergarten – 5th grade have one required book to read this summer. This book will be discussed in class during the first few weeks of school.

Encouraged Summer Reading

Students entering Kindergarten – 5th grade are encouraged to complete extra reading and a small assignment to be entered into the Summer Reading Raffle for their classroom.

Saxon Math Review Packets

The Saxon Math review packets are not required, but highly encouraged for students entering 1st – 5th grade. 

All students who complete their review packet and submit it to their teacher on Tuesday, September 6 will be entered into the Summer Math Raffle for their classroom.

Embers Academy Summer Office Hours

Due to construction and facility maintenance, Embers school office will be closed through August 31.

Phone messages and emails will be monitored daily.
